We have several cats in long term foster care, either because they are too old, too difficult, or need continuing veterinary care and so are not able to be homed in the normal way. These cats still obviously need financial support to care for them as well as the hands-on care and affection they receive from their fosterers. Please, if you feel you could offer £5.00 per month to help support one of these cats we would love to hear from you. Click here to let us know.

A very elderly black and white female who came into our care when her elderly owner died. Kitty is a lovely little cat, who occasionally needs treatment for a skin problem. She was the pride and joy of her owner and took quite a long time to settle into her new home, but now lives very happily in long term foster care.

This little cat came to us suffering from a long term nasal discharge, she was also very pregnant. She was feral and unhandleable. She decided to give birth to her kittens one bazaar day and Wendy and I had to leave the bazaar to help deliver the kittens. It was a very difficult birth, and for the first time that day Eliza accepted human contact, she must have known we were trying to help. We have now been able to treat most of the nasal discharge through long term veterinary treatment. Eliza is still shy, but very loving towards her fosterer, she lives happily now with another cat.

This little cat suffered very badly from some sort of emotional trauma. She plucked out all her hair and needed extensive and long term veterinary treatment to try to get her to let her coat grow. She was initially in short term foster care where this treatment was carried out. She eventually moved into long term foster care where she seems very happy and she no longer plucks out her coat.

A very elderly lady when she came to us with her sister, we were unable to find homes for these very attractive grey/cream torties together. We moved them into long term foster care together where Smokey died some time ago. Scraggles misses her sister but enjoys watching the world go by.

Della is an ex-domesticated little cat who had become feral after being abandoned by her owner. She carried her two kittens around a building site for a week before she found entrance to a basement. When she was found there she was threatened with being put to sleep. CPL juggled a few cats around and found space for her at the shelter where she reared her two beautiful kittens who have now been re-homed. Della wanted to accept human contact but was unable to at first. She is now well settled into her new home, accepting human contact and becoming more loving every day.
This old lady was found in someone's garage in Farnham. She was very thin and matted, has dental, kidney and thyroid problems. She will be cared for by a long-term fosterer for the rest of her life. We know nothing of her background but she is a proud old lady who deserves better than to be astray in all weathers.
Rosie, a very pretty 6 year old semi-long haired black female came into our care early in 1998 with her lifelong friend Jim. Jim is the most loving and affectionate stripey ginger tom. We tried very hard to find these two a new home together. Unfortunately Jim has a kidney problem, nothing immediately desperate, but he will have a shortened life-span. These two needed to be kept together and we eventually decided it was best for them to move into long term care with CPL where their future could be ensured.
